InterContinental Lyon, a CMH partner hotel

Heritage and culture

Its historic centre, Vieux Lyon, with its hidden traboules, Renaissance façades and the Fourvière basilica overlooking the city, has earned it UNESCO World Heritage status. La Presqu'île, the living heart of the city, blends Haussmann-era buildings, magnificent squares such as Bellecour and Les Terreaux, and renowned cultural institutions. All bear witness to an exceptional architectural heritage that contributes to the city's international standing.…

Lyon also means the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, a complete change of scene with its lakes and its many winter sports resorts. These resorts are world-famous, in summer as in winter, for their hospitality, their gastronomy and the quality of their slopes. Megève, Courchevel, Chamonix, Annecy and more: destinations synonymous with French luxury.

Student life at CMH

Student life

Every year, Lyon welcomes a great many French and international students, creating a young, vibrant and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Students particularly enjoy the diversity of Lyon's neighbourhoods, such as La Presqu'île and the banks of the Rhône, where you will find cafés, libraries, restaurants and cultural venues. The city also hosts countless concerts, festivals and exhibitions that punctuate daily life.

Lyon also offers a pleasant quality of life, with its green spaces, landscaped riverbanks and easy access to the mountains and the countryside. Between studies, culture and leisure, Lyon is an ideal city for student life.

Partner residences

Being a student at CMH Lyon gives you access to accommodation in our partner residences.

Most students who rent can claim the housing benefit paid by the Caisse d'Allocations Familiales, designed to cover part of their rent. These benefits are not, however, student-specific: anyone on a low income can claim them. To receive them, you must:

1. Hold a tenancy agreement in your own name (the lease must therefore not be in your parents' names)

2. Actually live in the property as your main residence (rent receipts must be made out in your name).

3. Your income must not exceed certain thresholds. There are two types of housing benefit paid by the CAF: ALS and APL. Unfortunately, they cannot be combined. Please note: the property you live in must not belong to your parents! Find out more at www.caf.fr

Students:

have direct access to the booking platform reserved for partners.

enjoy priority access to the available accommodation.

 benefit from reduced administration fees.

can transfer free of charge to another residence within the network.
