Facilities and teaching for our students

CMH has built a network of partners made up of major players in luxury hospitality and international tourism. Students have the opportunity to work in iconic establishments on the French Riviera that regularly recruit the talent trained by the school, such as: Maybourne Riviera, Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc (Antibes) / Le Méridien Beach Plaza (Monaco) / Carlton Cannes / Hôtel Martinez / Negresco Nice / Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer / JW Marriott Cannes.

CMH Nice's teaching approach is built on: lecturers drawn from the hospitality and luxury industries, projects rooted in the operational realities of the sector, work placements and work-study contracts in France and abroad, and a career-focused approach centred on service excellence.

Heritage and culture

The Côte d'Azur, also known as the French Riviera, is, according to historians, the region where the great palace hotels were born in the late eighteenth century. Did the Riviera give rise to the palace hotels, or did the palace hotels give rise to the Riviera? It is impossible to say, so closely is the history of these ultra-luxury hotels bound up with that of the Riviera itself.

From Théoule to Menton, some 30 five-star hotels are listed, with architecture inspired by anything from the Palace of Versailles to the palaces of the Arabian Nights. It is the highest concentration in France. The whole world gathers on the French Riviera to discover French-style luxury and cultural tourism, and to take part in the most glamorous events, such as the famous Cannes Film Festival.

How do I apply for housing benefit?

Most students who rent can claim the housing benefit paid by the Caisse d’Allocations Familiales, which is intended to cover part of their rent. These payments are not student grants, however: anyone on a low income can claim them. To receive them, you must:

1. Hold a tenancy agreement in your own name (the lease must therefore not be in your parents’ name)

2. Actually live in the property as your main residence (rent receipts must be issued in your name).

3. Your income must not exceed certain ceilings. The CAF pays two types of housing benefit: ALS and APL. Unfortunately, they cannot be combined. Please note: the property you live in must not belong to your parents! Find out more at www.caf.fr
